Lawsuit!™ is a fun and educational game for adults and children ages 6 and up. Players experience and learn about the law in a fun way as they make their way through law school, past the bar exam and into their own law practice and the courtroom.

The board is divided into 62 spaces. Players proceed through law school; the nitty gritty of running a law office (hiring a secretary, paying rent); and the ups and downs of bringing a case (preparing papers for court, going to trial). Players also land on spaces, where they are directed to pick cards describing all sorts of whimsical (and family-friendly!) case scenarios.

When a LAWSUIT!™ card is chosen, a player must decide whether to accept the result or appeal it. On an appeal, a player may double or even triple his award—or lose some or even all of it!

Instead of advancing when it's their turn, players may also choose to settle a case by drawing a SETTLEMENT card. Like appealing, settling a case can result in gaining—or losing—part or all of one's recovery.

Players may also double the stakes by "buying in" to a partnership. All awards and costs are doubled for partners. Whether or not to become a partner is therefore a key strategic decision, and adds to the suspense and intrigue, as everyone wonders whether it will pay to become one.

Lawsuit!™ was created by Tina Eskreis Nelson, an attorney and a mom, as a Father's Day gift for her husband, to teach their three children a little bit about what their dad (and mom) do as attorneys. Among the many accolades it has received, Lawsuit!™ was named as Creative Child Magazine's 2007 Game of the Year.

Includes:

  • Game board
  • 3 sets of cards: LAWSUIT!™, APPEAL and SETTLEMENT
  • Playing money ($250, $500, $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000)
  • 6 playing pieces
  • 1 die
Don't just win a game—win a Lawsuit!™

Get Law school in a Box and forget about the US News & World Report law school rankings. Sure, you could spend $100,000 on an Ivy League law degree, but then you'd have to deal with crowded classrooms, inconvenient course schedules and rigorous academic study (the worst!) That's why we're proud to offer the very prestigious Law School in a Box, jam-packed with:

  • Law School in 96 Pages: This mini-textbook features Law Lingo (from—quite appropriately—ab initio to vendee), Famous Cases (from Marbury v. Madison to Miranda v. Arizona and beyond), and tons of Supreme Court trivia.
  • 10 Heroes of the Courtroom Trading Cards: They’re all here—Abe Lincoln, Thurgood Marshall, Sandra Day O’Connor—with portraits and famous quotes on baseball-style trading cards.
  • 10 "You Be the Judge" Cards: Put your new legal knowledge to good use! One side features an ethical dilemma—the other side features real courtroom verdicts on the matter.
  • Mini Bar Exam: Ready for trial, Matlock? Not so fast! Better answer these tantalizing legal trivia questions first! They come complete with detailed answers on an accordion-folded exam.
  • Double-sided English/Latin diploma.
Created by husband and wife lawyers John and Jacquelyn Oña Cascarano, Law School in a Box is the perfect gift for past, present and future law students everywhere!

For lawyers who think they know it all—or for those of you who worry that your legal counsel can't tell a tort from a tart—Stump Your Lawyer! is a hilarious tour of the quirks and curiosities of our legal system. This tongue-in-cheek volume offers witty, practical, and thought-provoking challenges for the legally minded. Hypotheticals, definitions, true/false and multiple-choice questions probe the reader's knowledge of obscure statutes, baffling decisions, bizarre legal concepts, and antiquated jargon. Whether you're studying, practicing, or running from the law, this book will keep you laughing—and learning—all the way to the courthouse.

Disorderly Conduct™ helps demystify the law, so you can learn more about how our judicial system works while having a lot of fun! This is a perfect game for dorm rooms, family night, law offices and parties.

Test your legal knowledge with 350 multiple-choice questions in 7 legal categories: property, torts, evidence, general practice, constitutional and criminal law. Each question is based on real case law, with answers on the back of each card supported by actual case precedent.

To win the game, a player or team must be the first to correctly anser one question from each category, and then head to the center of the board (the "Courthouse") to answer one final General Practice question.

The eye-catching triangular game board contains three portals that let players jump to other sides of the board. This allows players access to unanswered questions easily to gain a competitive advantage.

Three different kinds of Action Cards keep the game moving quickly and the competition heated. Like a well-written decision, each Action Card gives a reason for the action taken. So, for example, you can lose your turn for losing an unopposed motion. On the flip side, you can take a turn from the opponent of your choice when (for example), your law school names you alumn of the year in recognition of your dedicated legal work for the poor and underprivileged.

For two or more individual players, or for 3 teams of multiple players. Ages 15 and up.

Disorderly Conduct™ was invented by an administrative law judge from Michigan.

Includes:

  • playing board
  • 350 Legal Topic cards
  • 45 Action Cards
  • 3 playing pieces for individual or team play
  • 8-sided die
  • card tray to keep all Legal Topic cards organized
